Ajinomoto introduces sodium reduction system SALT ANSWER™ RX-AX at IFT 2010

Ajinomoto North America, Inc. will introduce a new sodium reduction system called SALT ANSWER™ RX-AX at IFT2010. The company has spent 2 years developing application systems which focus on delivering salt like taste to processed food products.

The company will demonstrate how to deliver salt flavor with 30% less salt in potato chips and chicken broth. Additional low sodium systems made with AJIMATE™ S-AX (Kokumi & Umami flavor system) will be shown including:

Tamari marinated salmon or chicken
Roasted salmon/chicken made with ACTIVA™ GS and marinated in San-J reduced sodium gluten free Tamari with AJIMATE™ S-AX sliced and garnished with scallions.

Tofu spring rolls
Tofu marinated in San-J reduced sodium gluten free Tamari with AJIMATE™ S-AX with bell peppers, cucumbers, scallions, fresh herbs and lettuce.
